Why would you ever need another wallet?
Because this one looks natural and normal. Its what all trick wallets should be.
Finally a classic load wallet that is practical and natural.
No one suspects the checkbook is a trick wallet, unlike so many tricky or unnatural
looking wallets out on the market these days.
This wallet was created so that it would appear realistic. Kentons first stroke of brilliance
was to disguise a typical card in wallet method inside a checkbook cover.
The special wallet appears nothing more than an ordinary checkbook. In fact, it is the
cover Kenton himself uses for his everyday checkbooks.
Kenton prefers to use this prop with a checkbook and pen inside. When checkbooks become
outdated, Kenton says it is still useful as it holds his credit cards and I.D. while also being
able to carry his cash, passport, notepad or other natural and normal items.
The leather loop in the middle is to hold a fine pen. Put the checkbook in the section
opposite the credit cards. All looks normal.
Kenton chose a checkbook and credit card look so that the wallet would not be limited
to cards alone. You use your own real checkbook so everything really is legitimate!
You can carry your fine pen and credit cards in this wallet too, of course.
If a bill or other valuable disappeared or was supposedly harmed during a routine,
Kenton says, "I bet that was worth some money to you! I dont have that much cash
on me� will you take a check?" and takes out the checkbook as if to
write out a check to give to the spectator.
This is a hilarious bit that does not tip the surprise finish to come. It also gives a laugh
line that allows the performer to reach into his pocket and load
the wallet as it is shown to the audience.
As a peek or prediction wallet Kenton remarks he will pay the spectator one million dollars
if he is incorrect, then says that it will have to be in form of a check - he doesnt carry
that much money on his person. The peek can be had while ripping the check
out of the checkbook, displaying the checkbook, and so on.
If you do a Bank Night routine where the wrong bill is burned, Kentons wallet is the perfect
and sensible prop for the big ending. It is logical for a performer to write a check in response.
No silly or obviously fake reason needs be employed to excuse the use of this particular wallet.
No inner envelope is needed with this innocent looking wallet. The fact that their signed card is
inside the wallet, and sealed inside a zippered compartment is just as incredible to an audience
as using an envelope. The zipper compartment takes the place of an envelope, and allows you
to instantly reset the wallet by simply zipping the zipper closed again. You can use an
envelope of course, if you so desire.
The load slit has been made large enough to accommodate far more than a poker size playing card.
It will also allow many finger rings, coins, bills, keys and all manner of other odd sized objects into
the secret compartment. This means a ring that vanishes can instantly be found inside the zippered compartment, for instance. If one wished, a regular thread reel could be pinned to the inside of
the zippered pocket, allowing for a Ring Flight version.
But there is still more to this wallet. It can be used for certain types of peeks and predictions,
even involving watches and more as well.
Now that Kenton has allowed his own personal design for the classic wallet to be made available, you will discover the uses for this checkbook are unlimited.
